KARACHI: Schools body holds demo

KARACHI, Aug 10: The Private Schools Management Association (PSMA) on Thursday held a protest demonstration in front of the Karachi Press Club (KPC) against government's decision regarding the start of academic session from August 16.

Students from different private schools of the city along with their parents participated in the demonstration. They were carrying banners, placards inscribed with slogans. They were also carrying national flags and raised slogans against the provincial government. Protesting students also performed a tableau on the activities of the Pakistan Army.

Speaking on the occasion, PSMA president Sharfuzaman alleged that the Sindh education department was against letting students to celebrate the Independence Day within their schools’ premises.—PPI
