KARACHI, Aug 8: Sindh Education Minister Dr Hamida Khuhro on Tuesday expressed satisfaction over the provision of free textbooks to school children in Sindh and directed officials concerned to ensure timely provision of free textbooks to students of secondary schools in the province, as well.

Presiding over a high-level meeting at her office, she directed the Reform Support Unit (RSU) and the Sindh Textbook Board (STB) officials that efforts should be made to provide free textbooks to each and every school-going child in the province.

“Provision of free textbooks will not only help promote education in the province but it will also help over 50 per cent out of school children to get themselves enrolled at educational institutes” she added.

On the occasion, RSU chief and STB chairman apprised the minister of their performance and efforts for distribution of free textbooks among school children.-PPI
