BAJAUR: The district administration on Saturday launched an e-Bajaur application and website to enable local traders and entrepreneurs to market and sell their products and services digitally across Pakistan and international markets.

The digital platform was formally inaugurated at a ceremony held at the jirga hall of the district administration in Civil Colony, Khar.

Senior officials of the district administration and the District Youth Affairs Department, including Additional Assistant Commissioners Asadullah Khan and Mohammad Nisar Khan and District Youth Officer Fawad Khan, attended the ceremony.

A large number of traders, entrepreneurs, e-commerce experts and individuals associated with various online businesses also participated in the event.

Speaking on the occasion, the officials and other speakers described e-Bajaur as an innovative digital platform designed to provide local traders and entrepreneurs with opportunities to showcase and sell their products and services to customers across the country and beyond.

They termed the initiative a significant milestone in promoting e-commerce and digital entrepreneurship in the district, expressing optimism that it would encourage a growing number of local youth to explore online business opportunities, which are rapidly gaining popularity worldwide.

The participants were informed that the district administration had planned to organise a series of awareness sessions in the coming weeks to familiarise local traders with the platform and guide them on its effective use.

Several participants, particularly traders and entrepreneurs, welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that it would open up new avenues of digital business for residents of Bajaur, especially educated young people.

They said the proposed awareness sessions would encourage a considerable number of talented but unemployed youths to venture into e-commerce.
