PESHAWAR: Adviser on Industries and Commerce Dr Muhammad Irshad inaugurated the KPEZDMC Resource Planning (KRP) system, an integrated digital platform developed in-house to modernise institutional operations and improve services for investors and industrialists.

Featuring over 30 integrated modules, KRP brings key functions, including finance, procurement, human resources, legal affairs, governance and investor facilitation, onto a single platform, enabling paperless workflows, improved coordination and greater accountability, says a statement here on Thursday.

Through the system, investors will be able to access economic zone master plans, check industrial plot availability, submit applications, make digital payments and track approvals online. A dedicated complaint redress mechanism will also facilitate transparent and timely resolution of investor concerns, it said.

Speaking at the inauguration, Dr Irshad emphasised that transparency, accountability and efficient service delivery are central to the government’s industrial development agenda. He called for greater transparency in industrial plot allotments, measures to discourage speculative trading and strict action against misuse or prolonged non-utilisation of industrial land.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving the business environment, facilitating genuine industrial investment and supporting economic activity and employment generation across the province.

KPEZDMC CEO Mr Shaharyar Gul described KRP as an important step towards digital governance and institutional efficiency.

Appreciating the company’s IT team for developing the platform internally, he highlighted its potential for adoption by other public-sector organisations, creating opportunities for institutional collaboration and revenue generation.

A live demonstration showcased online plot applications, digital payments, application tracking and complaint management.

The initiative marks a significant step in KPEZDMC’s transition towards digitally enabled, transparent and investor-focused service delivery, supporting the broader objective of accelerating industrial development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
