PESHAWAR: NWFP Tribal area’s wholehearted and loyal support to the new Governor-General and the new Prime Minister was assured to Khwaja Nazimuddin by a deputation of the tribesmen which met him here today [Nov 3]. They also expressed their deep sense of abhorrence at the dastardly and cowardly act of the assassination of the Quaid-i-Millat.

Prime Minister Khwaja Nazimuddin assured the tribesmen that the Pakistan Government’s regard for the Tribal area was the same as for any other area in the country. This was abundantly proved by the fact that every class in every corner of the country was represented in the Government of the country, he told them. The deputation represented the Anjuman-e-Azad Qabali and Motamar-e-Alam-e-Islami of the Frontier regions. The Prime Minister emphasised that all the people living in Pakistan or the Tribal territory were one in religion and one in interest, and, therefore, all were one in safeguarding the honour ... of their motherland Pakistan.

The deputationists told Khwaja Nazimuddin that the tribesmen were friends and well-wishers of Pakistan and prayed for the Islamic countries and the Muslims of the world.
