Europe will not face a gas shortage this winter; it will simply be forced to pay more to ensure sufficient supply, Reuters reports quoting TotalEnergies Chief Executive Officer Patrick Pouyanne.
“The idea of a gas shortage is wrong,” Pouyanne tells a briefing on the company’s energy demand outlook, adding that Europe is only waking up to its gas storage needs after markets had bet on the Iran war ending in the summer.
