QUETTA: Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and Adviser Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has announced plans to expand opportunities for young people in Balochistan through artificial intelligence (AI), modern technology, technical training and business support.

Speaking at the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) during a meeting with its president and members of the business community, he said the chamber would be engaged to promote small businesses, startups and youth entrepreneurship.

He said the government was committed to equipping young people with marketable skills, enabling them to achieve economic independence and encouraging their participation in national development.

To broaden employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, several organisations, including the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, Balochistan Rural Support Programme and Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, have been brought on board, he added.
