Major General Ali Abdollahi, the Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff, says that the US is “no longer the superpower it once claimed to be” since Iran remains united following Washington’s war on Tehran, state broadcaster Press TV reports.

“The US is no longer the superpower it once claimed to be; it has grown old,” he is quoted as saying. “[US President Donald] Trump tried everything but failed because the Iranian government and people remain united.”

He adds that no aggressor will be allowed to threaten Iran or violate its sovereignty.
