SUKKUR, July 29: Members of the banned Sindh Employees Alliance held a demonstration outside the office of the Thull taluka nazim on Saturday in protest against ban on teachers’ associations.

Abdul Aziz Buriro and Nazir Noonari led the protesters.

They chanted slogans against the Sindh government and held a sit-in for an hour.

The leaders said that teachers’ associations were working in other provinces while the ban had been imposed in Sindh.

KHAIRPUR: Teachers continued hunger strike at the Chhatti chowk on Saturday in protest against the ban on associations.

Prof Noor Ahmed Khuhro, Asadullah Memon, Mazhar Jalbani and office-bearers of the banned GSTA, PTA, MTA and professors’ and lecturers’ association joined the hunger strike.

The teachers affixed banners at the hunger strike camp which were inscribed with slogans against Sindh Education Minister Hameeda Khuhro.
