TAXILA: Member of the National Assembly Sheikh Aftab Ahmed on Saturday inaugurated electricity supply, which will provide power to more than 100 houses in Gariyala village Attock.

Addressing the participants of the ceremony, Sheikh Aftab Ahmed said that more than 300 major development projects had been initiated in his constituency, with inaugurations of many of them already completed.

These projects included the provision of natural gas and electricity, sewerage systems, and the construction and improvement of streets, upgradation of drainage systems, and paving of the roads.

He noted that over 16 road projects had been completed or were nearing completion within the last one and a half years, with more schemes in the pipeline.

He said development work was underway in the three tehsils of his constituency, Hazro, Attock and Hassan Abdal, with special funds secured from the federal and provincial governments for electricity, gas, roads, streets, drainage and other infrastructure projects.

He expressed his resolve to secure additional funds in the next fiscal year to accelerate development and improve living standards in the area. He reiterated his commitment to bringing the underdeveloped areas of Hazro, Hassanabdal and Attock tehsils onto the path of progress.

Urging citizens to raise their voices for their rights and inform elected representatives about their problems, Sheikh Aftab Ahmed said public awareness and active participation were essential for Pakistan to move forward on the path of progress and development.

The ceremony was also addressed by Malik Hameed Akbar Khan, candidate for PP-3 and chairman of the Attock Health Committee; PML-N District President Muhammad Saleem Shehzad; and other speakers.
