RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Salman Ghani on Friday directed immediate resolution of pending issues of six private housing schemes in compliance with the high court directions. In compliance with the directions of the Lahore High Court, a detailed hearing was held at the office of the director general, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), under the chairmanship of commissioner Rawalpindi Division and DG RDA Salman Ghani.
The hearing was attended by the owners and sponsors, legal representatives and affected citizens of six housing schemes: Metro City Gujar Khan, Bahria Town, Mega City, Mumtaz City, The Avenue, and Top City.
During the proceedings, the commissioner heard the concerns and grievances of the participants individually and reviewed the outstanding issues pertaining to each housing scheme.
He directed the RDA law officer to take immediate necessary legal action in accordance with the directions of the Lahore High Court and ensure that the pending matters relating to the six housing schemes are pursued effectively for their timely resolution.
He further directed the chief planner RDA to take immediate and effective measures to resolve all pending issues and ensure timely action on the complaints raised by affected citizens. He emphasised that all matters must be addressed promptly and strictly in accordance with the directions of the high court.
