KARACHI, July 28: The tribunal probing Nishter Park incident, headed by Justice Rehmat Hussain Jaffery, the Judge of High Court of Sindh (SHC) , on Friday sought record of calls at the control room set up at the office of Sindh home minister Rauf Siddiqi, in connection with the arrangements of 12th of Rabiul Awwal.

Private secretary to Sindh home minister Mohammad Idrees deposed that the control rooms were set up by various departments in the metropolis on the directives of Sindh home minister on April 10. In this connection, a control room was also set up at the office of the home minister.

He maintained that provincial home minister was also available at the control room set up in his office.

Deposing before the tribunal, Section Officer, Sindh Home department, Ibrar Sheikh said a control room was also set up at the home department in connection with the 12th Rabiul Awwal, while officials were also assigned duties there.

Earlier, on commencement of the proceedings, the tribunal recorded statement of the In charge, Nursing Attendants, JPMC, Riazuddin.

The tribunal also completed the deposition from the MLO JPMC, Dr.Zafar Sayyal, who examined the injured.

The tribunal later adjourned the proceedings till Saturday.
