Search launched to recover missing policemen in Nowshera

PESHAWAR: A search operation was launched in Nowshera district to recover three officials of Nizampur police station, who went missing on Thursday evening.

Police said that Muharrar (clerk) Naeemullah, assistant Muharrar Amir and constable Noor Islam went missing. They said that the three policemen were being traced. They said that no contact could be established with them till filing of this report.

They said that the three policemen were inspecting checkpoints when they went missing. They added that there was no information about the missing personnel and efforts were under way to trace them.

“Heavy contingents of Nowshera police have been dispatched from police lines and a search operation has been launched,” they said. The district police officer of Nowshera could not be contacted for an official version despite repeated attempts.
