Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says that the country’s officials are serious about using diplomacy to secure national interests and security, noting that Iran is still determined to defend itself, Al Jazeera reports.

In a meeting with Iranian officials, Araghchi says Tehran’s delegation to the UN General Assembly presented the proposed seven-day peace plan to the US to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, according to a message on his Telegram channel.
