French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu says he will make 10 million barrels of diesel available to distributors in France, in a bid to help ease pressure on fuel prices, AFP reports.

The diesel, which was purchased before the recent price surge and would be made available at cost price, would “automatically lower prices at the pump by an estimated 12 to 18 cents per litre”, he says during a televised address.
