NAROWAL: A mother and her son lost their lives while her daughter was critically injured in a shooting incident in Sheikhupura on Monday.

Rana Tajammul Hussain, the spokesperson for Rescue 1122 Sheikhupura, stated that the control room received a call from Ghang Road. According to the caller, three members of the same family had sustained critical injuries due to gunfire.

The rescue teams arrived at the scene where 42-year-old Shazia Imran, her eight-year-old son Ahsan and seven-year-old daughter Tayyaba were critically injured.

The paramedics provided first aid to the injured but Shazia and Ahsan died on the spot. They transferred Tayyaba to the government hospital.

The rescue spokesperson said that the motive behind the shooting remains unknown. However, sources pointed out a domestic issue. The police sent the bodies for a post-mortem.
