Suspect held for impersonating doctor

RAWALPINDI: A suspect impersonating a doctor accused of getting blood bottles from Benazir Bhutto Hospital’s blood bank and selling them out, police said.

The suspect was arrested and Waris Khan policehave registered a case against him on the complaint of ward master Raja Noman .

Senior lab technician Muhammad Ramadan, who was on duty in the evening shift, reported that a boy dressed in a doctor’s uniform, came to him to get blood from the blood bank.

The suspect had previously been prohibited from taking blood improperly. When he arrived at the blood bank, he was detained and a mobile phone was also recovered from him.

The man could not provide any proof of being a doctor, police said. The accused is buying and selling blood through a fraudulent method, police said, adding that the accused has been arrested and a case was registered.
