OKARA: A suspect was killed in an encounter with the CCD.

Police claimed that a CCD team was positioned near the Mancharian village when they signalled three men on an unregistered motorcycle to stop. However, police claimed the suspects abandoned the motorcycle and started shooting at the team, which was retaliated.

When the firing stopped, police claimed that the CCD team saw an injured man lying beside the roadside with a weapon and bullets, while his two accomplices had escaped.

Police claimed that the gunman introduced himself as Zafar, and also disclosed the name of one of his accomplices, Asad Kharal. Police claimed the suspect later succumbed to his injuries.
