KARACHI, July 25: The Baloch National Movement has stressed the need for unity among the nationalist forces of Balochistan to counter the challenges being faced by Baloch people amid the fast deteriorating situation in the troubled province.

In a statement issued here on Monday, BNP President Ghulam Mohammad Baloch deplored the government for ‘imposing a war’ on Baloch people in its bid to take control of the oil and gas resources of the province.

Not only that, the government had made their intentions clear by not pursuing a political solution to the Balochistan problem, he added.

Condemning the brutal actions in the Marri and Bugti areas, the BNP leader said that the situation called for greater unity and national consensus among the Baloch people to counter the forces of exploitation.
