US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the US naval blockade of Iranian ports will further weaken Iran’s economy, claiming Washington had helped move 130 million barrels of oil through the Gulf over the past 14 days, according to Al Jazeera.

In a post on X, Bessent writes: “The Blockade and Operation Economic Outcast will crush the failing Iranian economy.”

“The USA has guided 130 million barrels out over the past 14 days. Iran: 0,” he adds.
