The kite that crossed borders

This is regarding the story “The kite that crossed borders” by Hurain Mohy Ud Din Maan (YW, July 4).

It was a heart-warming tale about friendship, kindness and hope. It showed how a simple kite brought two kids from different sides of the border together. Through their shared interest, they formed a lasting friendship.

I liked this story because it reminded us that borders cannot stop friendship, peace, understanding or hope. The ending was especially touching, showing that people have far more in common than we often realise.

It was an enjoyable story with a beautiful message for readers of all ages.

I really liked the story “The kite that crossed borders” by Hurain Mohy Ud Din Maan.

The simplicity of the story lies in how a lost kite turned into the beginning of an unexpected friendship. The exchanges between Ayaan and Nadir showed that kindness, dreams and laughter are shared by young people everywhere, no matter where they live. The ending, with the two friends finally meeting at the peace festival, was lovely. This story reminded readers that understanding and friendship can rise above differences and bring people closer.

The abandoned dog

This is with reference to the story “The abandoned dog” by Gulsameen Nauhani (YW, June 27). I appreciate the writer for exposing a harsh reality in our society.

We often exploit not only other human beings, but also animals. Street dogs, in particular, are frequently mistreated, with children throwing stones at them and disturbing them for no reason, even though dogs are known for their loyalty.

As human beings, we should show kindness and compassion towards animals because they cannot speak or express their feelings. We should also teach children to treat all animals with care and respect, whether they are pets, strays or wild animals.

The story “The abandoned dog” by Gulsameen Nauhani was very touching, especially for a person like me who loves animals.

Tobby’s loyalty despite being treated so unfairly was heart-breaking, and the ending, where the three abandoned dogs chose kindness and shared what little they had, made me even more emotional.

The story also encouraged readers to think seriously about the responsibility of keeping pets and treating animals with care.
