TAXILA: A female TikToker was gunned down while her teenage sister was critically injured when an assailant showered them with bullets in broad daylight on GT Road near the Taxila bypass, within the limits of Taxila Police Station, police sources said on Saturday.

The victim’s brother reported to police that the victim, along with her sister, was travelling in her car when a motorcyclist in his 30s intercepted them near the bypass and opened fire. As a result, they sustained bullet injuries, while the car went out of control and rammed into a dumper.

The content creator died on the spot, while her sister was critically injured. The deceased was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Taxila, while the injured was shifted to Islamabad in critical condition.

Police sources said that the victim was a native of Haripur and was living in a private housing society. Her brother nominated two persons in the FIR, claiming that a monetary dispute between the woman and the accused had led to the alleged targeted killing. Police registered a case against the nominated accused and launched further investigation.

Meanwhile, police on Saturday registered a target-killing case over the deaths of two brothers who were gunned down in Malho village, within the limits of Rango Police Station in Hazro town of Attock.

Separately, a teenage boy drowned in a village pond in the Chappri area, within the limits of Jand Police Station, on Saturday, police and Rescue 1122 sources said.

Sources said that the 13-year-old went to the pond with his friends for swimming, where he ventured into deep water and drowned. Later, a Rescue 1122 team recovered his body and shifted it to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Police registered a case and launched further investigation.
