QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Saturday directed the authorities concerned to accelerate work on ongoing development projects in North Dera Bugti and ensure quality construction.

Chairing a high-level meeting held during his visit to North Dera Bugti, he said substandard construction would not be tolerated and directed that all ongoing development schemes be completed within the stipulated time frame.

The Deputy Commissioner of Dera Bugti and other officials briefed the chief minister on ongoing development projects and the basic facilities being provided to residents.

The chief minister also visited the building of a unique educational institution being constructed to provide modern and quality education to orphaned children. Under the project, hundreds of deserving children from different districts of Balochistan will have access to quality education.

“Education is the foundation of social development and a bright future for the younger generation,” Bugti said, adding that the provincial government was taking practical measures to provide quality educational opportunities to children from deprived and disadvantaged sections of society.

He also visited a sports ground and said providing young people with sports facilities, a healthy environment and opportunities for positive activities was among the government’s top priorities.
