ISLAMABAD: More than 100,000 students from over 850 schools across Pakistan sat the June 2026 Cambridge International AS & A Level, Cambridge O Level and IGCSE examinations, as Cambridge began releasing results worldwide.

“Almost 368,000 students worldwide are receiving Cambridge International AS & A Level results today [Tuesday],” says a press release issued here.

“The most popular subjects in Pakistan being Physics, Mathematics, Business, Chemistry and Computer Science, it said.

“Congratulations to all our students receiving results today and next week,” said Rod Smith, Group Managing Director for International Education at Cambridge.

Country Director Pakistan for International Education at Cambridge Uzma Yousuf said: “Congratulations to all our learners receiving their results this week. This has not been an ordinary year. Some students prepared for their examinations against a backdrop of regional tensions, uncertainty and disruption, which makes today’s achievement even more meaningful. I hope every learner takes a moment to celebrate what they’ve accomplished. I would also like to thank the teachers, parents and school communities across Pakistan who supported our learners with such dedication and care throughout. At Cambridge, we believe education is about more than examination results. It’s about helping young people build the knowledge, confidence and skills to thrive at university, in their careers, and in life,” she said.

“Their standing as a route to higher education is borne out by new UCAS application data: 98% of Cambridge International A Level students who applied to UK universities in the 2025 cycle received at least one offer of a place, demonstrating the strength of the qualification as a proven pathway to higher education. The flexibility of Cambridge International AS and A Levels also provides the option for students to stay in their home country to study,” read the press release.

It said international education with Cambridge is as international as necessary, but as local as possible.

“Whether students choose to study at home or abroad, Cambridge international qualifications open doors to opportunity and prepare learners for success in a rapidly changing world,” added Rod Smith.

The press release further said that Cambridge IGCSE and O Level results will be released to over 315,000 students worldwide on August 18.
