DADU: Three people were killed in an armed clash between two rival groups of the Shahani community within the jurisdiction of the Mondar police station in Dadu.
Police sources identified the deceased as Khadim Shahani, Zaib Nawaz Shahani, and Muzaffar Shahani, who succumbed to bullet injuries during an exchange of gunfire.
The violent confrontation triggered widespread panic and fear across the locality, with armed members of both factions reportedly taking up defensive positions following the shooting.
The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital Dadu for medico-legal formalities and post-mortem examination.
Upon receiving information about the incident, a heavy contingent of police rushed to the scene to restore order and prevent further escalation. Authorities have launched an investigation into the clash, while efforts remain underway to defuse tensions in the area.
