ISLAMABAD: Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has claimed that 95.46 per cent of its students have passed the SSC-II 1st Annual Examination [Matric] 2026.
A total of 13,905 students appeared from FDE institutions, out of which 13,274 students successfully passed the examination.
The overall academic performance remained encouraging, with 1,600 students securing A1 (A+) grade and 2,417 students obtaining A grade. Furthermore, 195 students achieved outstanding results by scoring 1,000 or above marks out of 1,100.
Students demonstrated exceptional academic performance in the exam, including Swera Shamsher of IMCG I-8/4 who obtained 1,084 marks. Hamdan Shamsher of IMCB I-8/3 got 1,073 marks, Syeda Urooj Fatima of IMCG F-7/4 got 1,070 marks, Azka Khalid of IMCG G-13/1 got 1,069 marks, and Sarim Ibtisam of IMSB(I-X) I-14 got 1066 marks.
The comparison of SSC-II results reflects improvement in the overall academic performance of FDE institutions. The overall pass percentage increased from 94pc in 2025 to 95pc in 2026, showing an improvement of 1.35pc.
Principal IMCB I-8/3 Prof Shahid Mahmood Abbasi has stated that the collective efforts of students and teachers enabled the colleges to achieve exceptional results.
He emphasised that academic excellence, discipline, and commitment to quality education remained the hallmarks of the FDE institutions and encouraged students to continue striving for higher achievements.
It is worth mentioning that the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) last month announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part I and Part II First Annual Examination 2026, with an overall pass percentage of 59.77 per cent in SSC-I and 91.33 per cent in SSC-II.
