Larkana Board announces results of Class X examinations

LARKANA: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Larkana has announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part-II, Science and General groups annual examinations.

According to the results issued by BISE Controller Prof Abdul Jabbar Junejo, a total of 58,435 candidates from Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore-Kandhkot, and Mehar and K.N. Shah talukas of Dadu district appeared in the annual examinations for the Science and General groups of Class X and 48,998 of them declared successful.

In the Science group, Muhammad Haris Shaikh, student of Cadet College Larkana, secured first position by obtaining 1,017 marks. Muhammad Hussain Sangi of Government Pilot Higher Secondary School Larkana and Naufil Shakeel Ahmed Katpar of The City School Larkana jointly secured second position with 1,016 marks each. Huba Waseem Ahmed Tunio, a student of Quaid-i-Awam Rangers School Larkana Campus, secured third position with 1,015 marks.

The pass percentage in the Science group stood at 82.31 per cent.

In the General group, Noor Mustafa Khokhar of Government Boys High School Dr Ayaz Qadri, Sachal Colony, Larkana, secured first position with 781 marks. Uzair Mahar of Government High School Jahan Khan secured second position with 775 marks, while Muhammad Younis Jatoi of Government Raza-e-Mustafa Public School, Jacobabad, secured third position with 726 marks.

The pass percentage in the General group stood at 74.7pc.

In the Science group annual examinations, 55,797 candidates from Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, and Kashmore-Kandhkot districts, along with Mehar and K.N. Shah talukas of Dadu district, appeared, of whom 47,021 passed.

In the General group, a total of 2,638 candidates appeared, of whom 1,977 declared successful.
