KARACHI, July 14: A literary reference was held for prominent poet, scholar, writer and journalist Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi here on Friday under the auspices of Pakistan Academy of Letters, Karachi.

Dr Jamil Jalibi, who presided over the ceremony, paid rich tributes to the creative and scholarly abilities of Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi. He also shed light on various aspects of the personality and work of late Qasmi.

Jamiluddin Aali said the personality of Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi cannot be covered in just a single sitting or a book and added much would be written on him.

Dr Mohammad Ali Siddiqui said that Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi always espoused the cause of truth. Dr Aslam Farrukhi, Dr Zulfiqar Sial, Dr Farman Fatehpuri, Sarshar Siddiqui, Anwar Shaur, Fatima Hasan, Nazeer Channa and Agha Noor Mohammad Pathan also paid tributes to Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi.—APP
