CM Bugti assures relief to quake-hit people in Kingri

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has said that the provincial government is utilising all available resources to provide relief and necessary facilities to families affected by recent earthquake in Kingri tehsil of Musakhel district.

In a message posted on social media, the chief minister said the government fully understood difficulties being faced by the affected families and assured them they would not be left alone in this difficult time.

He said that on his directives, the relief commissioner and director general of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) visited the earthquake-hit areas, assessed damages and distributed relief goods among the affected families.

Mr Bugti said that immediate relief, rehabilitation and provision of essential facilities to the victims is now the government’s top priority.

He directed the district administration, PDMA and other institutions concerned to accelerate relief activities and ensure transparent, timely and non-discriminatory distribution of aid so that government assistance could reach every deserving family.

The chief minister also instructed all relevant departments to maintain continuous monitoring of the situation in the affected areas and continue coordinated relief operations.

He said a comprehensive survey of losses would be completed soon, after which steps would be taken for rehabilitation of the families hit by the earthquake.
