UO budget approved

OKARA: The 29th meeting of the Syndicate of the University of Okara (UO) approved university’s Rs1.5 billion budget of the fiscal year 2026-27, besides a wide range of academic, administrative and financial initiatives.

The meeting was presided over by Punjab Minister for Higher Education (HE) Rana Sikandar Hayat.

The minister appreciated the progress made by the UO.

The syndicate approved a number of faculty and administrative appointments, including assistant directors in the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), assistant professors and lecturers in Library and Information Science, Commerce, Physiotherapy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Computer Science, and Medical Laboratory Technology, as well as associate professors in Education and assistant professors in Physics.
