Man killed by robbers

LAHORE: A man was allegedly shot dead by armed robbers in the Kahna area while offering resistance.

As per the reports, two unidentified armed men intercepted Aslam Parvez, at LDA city roundabout where he was going on a bike.

The armed men tried to snatch his bike at gunpoint. As he offered resistance, one of the attackers opened fire and injured him critically.

A police official said Aslam was immediately taken to a local

hospital from where the doctors referred him to the Lahore General Hospital due to profuse bleeding.

He said Aslam, however, breathed his last during treatment at the teaching hospital and the police put on high alert in the surrounding areas to track down the armed robbers.

A case was lodged against the alleged killers on the complaint of the deceased’s son Danish Ali and sent

the body to the city morgue for postmortem examination.
