The US vice president denied that the Iranian delegation had walked out of the discussions yesterday.

“They did threaten to walk out, or at least there were social media threats to walk out, but we were negotiating well past 1am yesterday so they didn’t talk out,” he replied to a query, adding that their technical team was still in Switzerland.

“We told Iranians yesterday: when you engage in trash talk, you can’t expect POTUS not to respond and not to correct the record. When they say things that are true, the POTUS is going to respond to it. I am going to respond to it,” he contended.

However, he added, “Yes, there is a little bit of threatening and a little bit of whining, but at the end of the day, the talks continued.”
