[Meanwhile, as reported by news agencies from London,] Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was apparently the last foreign distinguished guest to have been received in Peking by Chairman Mao Tsetung, according to … reports. Last week a number of prominent Western [media] quoted a statement by a spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Minister … that “the Central Committee of our party has decided not to arrange meetings of Chairman Mao to receive foreign distinguished guests”.
