Man kills wife, sister over domestic dispute

LOWER DIR: A man allegedly shot dead his wife, sister and also injured another woman over a domestic dispute in Wari tehsil of Upper Dir district on Thursday, police and local sources said.

The incident occurred in Kacho area, where the suspect, identified as Nawab, allegedly opened fire inside his house early in the morning. As a result, his wife and sister died on the spot, while another woman sustained injuries. She was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The suspect managed to flee the scene, prompting police to launch a search operation for his arrest. Police officials said investigation has been initiated and evidence is being collected from the crime scene to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Sources said the suspect had reportedly obtained a ticket to travel abroad prior to the incident. However, police said they were verifying the information as part of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities said raids were being conducted to apprehend the suspect and determine the motive behind the killings.
