KARACHI, July 10: A woman was strangulated to death after being raped by unknown persons in the Al Falah area late Sunday night. Police said the body of Rubina was found in her Millat Town house on Monday morning. The woman had been strangled and the circumstances in which the body was found suggested she had put up resistance, police said.

According to initial reports, the woman ran a beauty parlour in the area. At the time of the incident, her seven-year-old daughter was also at home. Her screams alerted the neighbours who informed the police.

Police shifted the body to the Jinnah hospital for autopsy.
