SWABI: The police have arrested seven TikTokers for making an inappropriate video on the court premises in the Shahmansoor area here.

SHO Othla police station Saddam Khan said on Sunday that they took action on the instructions of District Police Officer Waqas Rafiq and arrested seven accused for making provocative TikTok videos on the court premises and uploading them on social media.

The accused were identified as Jamil Akbar, Gul Khyber, Hakeem Akbar, Zubair Khan, Arshad Khan, Shiraz Khan and Jahanzeb Khan, residents of the Ghabai Serai Banda area of the Gadoon Amazai mountainous terrain.

“They came to the district courts for appearance in a land dispute case. During the appearance, they made inappropriate videos on the court premises and uploaded them on social media, disregarding the sanctity of courts,” SHO Khan said.

During the investigation, the accused expressed regret for their inappropriate behaviour and pledged to refrain from such acts in future.

The SHO said that the police would take strict legal action against those taking the law into their own hands, committing violence against women, violating the sanctity of public places and government institutions or misusing social media.
