TikToker held for ‘making AI-generated obscene video’ in Bahawalnagar

BAHAWALNAGAR: A male TikToker was arrested on Friday for allegedly making an AI-generated obscene video of a rival female TikToker and uploading it on social media.

As per the FIR filed by Bahawalnagar Saddar police on Thursday, TikToker Zain, a resident of of 430/6R village, with the help of an unidentified accomplice, allegedly made a fake obscene video of a rival female TikToker, who also ran a beauty salon in 37/3R village. The suspect then shared the fake video on social media to humiliate his rival.

When the female TikToker confronted Zain over the issue, he allegedly used abusive language against her and threatened to kill her.

On the complaint by the woman, the police arrested Zain and started investigation into the matter. His accomplice is still at large.

Police sources say that the suspect confessed to have uploaded the video of his rival TikToker because of jealousy as her content was getting more views than his.

DEATH SENTENCE: A sessions court on Friday handed down death sentence to a man for killing his wife on the pretext of ‘honour’ in Haroonabad, some seven months ago.

According to the prosecution, Arshad, a resident of Haroonabad’s village 55/4R, had married his cousin Tahira Parveen some 20 years ago and the couple had a son and two daughters.

It stated that the suspect had suspicions about his wife’s character and would frequently subject her to torture over the issue.

On Dec 25, 2025, the suspect stabbed his wife in the neck with a knife and escaped. She died on the spot.

On the complaint of victim’s mother Shakeela, the Saddar Police registered a case under section 302 of the PPC and arrested the suspect.

Additional Sessions Judge Malik Naeem Shaukat sentenced Arshad to death and ordered him to pay Rs500,000 in compensation to the victim’s family.
