KARACHI: Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi on Thursday visited a private hospital in Karachi where Dr Mahnoor Nasir, who was injured in an acid attack in Quetta, is undergoing treatment, and directed the hospital administration to ensure that she receives the best possible medical care.

During the visit, the governor met Dr Mahnoor’s father and inquired about her health condition and ongoing medical treatment. He assured the affected family of his full support and assistance.

He also directed the hospital administration to provide Dr Mahnoor with the best possible medical facilities and treatment.

Condemning the incident strongly, he said that the attack on Dr Mahnoor was inhumane, deeply tragic, and unacceptable. He said that such brutal elements deserve no leniency and must face the strictest legal action in accordance with the law.

Meanwhile, Dr Mahnoor was shifted to Karachi for further treatment after receiving initial medical care in Quetta. She is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

He reaffirmed his commitment to extending every possible support for the promotion of positive and healthy recreational activities in Karachi so that citizens can benefit from an improved social and recreational environment.
