Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has spoken to the EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas in a phone call and discussed the latest developments following the US’s attacks on Iran and Tehran’s attacks on Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, Al Jazeera reports.

In the call, Araghchi strongly condemns Washington’s attacks, calling them a clear violation of the UN Charter and international law, and reiterating that the actions had rendered the ceasefire ineffective and that the US is responsible for their dangerous consequences.

He has also criticised the silence of UN member countries regarding the US attacks, warning that global inaction would lead to increased regional and global insecurity.
