Unauthorised medical clinics sealed

RAWALPINDI: Health & Population Department, District Health Authority (DHA) Rawalpindi, has sealed 68 unauthorised clinics in the district and issued challans to 57 illegal clinics.

District Health Authority executed a total of 421 inspections, identifying 250 illegal practitioners.

It was informed in a meeting to review the drive against illegal medical clinics. It was chaired by MNA Tahira Aurangzaib along with DHA Chief Executive Officer Dr Ehsan Ghani.

The meeting was attended by stakeholders, including the District Health Officers, the Secretary of the District Quality Control Board (DQCB), Drug Controllers and representatives of the local Chemist Union.
