Zamurad reviews facilities at rehabilitation centre

TAXILA: Pakistan Sweet Homes Chairman Zamurad Khan visited Potohar rehabilitation centre for drugs addicts at Wah General Hospital on Tuesday to review healthcare facilities and assess the quality of medical services being provided to patients.

During the visit, he inspected various departments of the hospital, including the emergency room (ER), surgical ward and other treatment units. He met with patients, inquired about their health and well-being, and sought feedback regarding the medical services being provided.

Later, he visited the Potohar Rehabilitation Centre, where he was given a briefing about the centre’s operations, facilities and ongoing rehabilitation programmes

Expressing satisfaction with the overall arrangements, Mr Khan commended the hospital administration, doctors, nursing staff and supporting personnel for their dedication and professional services. He particularly appreciated the high standards of cleanliness and the pleasant environment maintained at the hospital despite the heavy patient load.

Speaking on the occasion, he emphasised the importance of collective efforts to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services and the promotion of welfare initiatives. He stated that all institutions should continue working in close coordination to improve healthcare delivery and ensure that every member of society has access to better medical facilities.

Man arrested

Police on Tuesday arrested a man for allegedly molesting a 10-year-old boy in his house in village Tass in Hassanabdal.

The victim’s father reported to police that his son was playing outside his house when a native of the same area took him to his house and sexually assaulted him. After returning home, the boy revealed the incident to his father who took him to the police station. After a medical examination, which confirmed the assault, the police registered a case against the suspect and sent him behind bars.
