KARACHI: ABHI Microfinance Bank Ltd closed 2025 with a record profit after tax of Rs1.019bn compared with a loss after tax of Rs1.754bn in 2024, reflecting a sharp recovery in the bank’s financial performance.

The bank was last profitable in 2020. Its total assets rose to Rs77.1bn, compared with Rs40.4bn in 2024, primarily due to a significant expansion in advances, which surged 104.25 per cent to Rs37.5bn from Rs18.4bn a year earlier.

The growth in the loan book was fuelled by an increase in deposits, which rose to Rs69.088bn from Rs36.226bn in 2024, a rise of 90.71pc.
