PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has announced that no loadshedding will be carried out across its region during Eidul Azha, assuring consumers of uninterrupted electricity supply throughout the first two days of the religious festival.

According to a Pesco spokesperson, all feeders under the company’s jurisdiction will remain operational round the clock to facilitate citizens during Eid celebrations and the performance of the religious ritual of animal sacrifice.

The spokesperson said Pesco Chief Akhtar Hameed Khan had issued special directives to ensure continuous power supply during Eid holidays so that consumers could celebrate the occasion without inconvenience.

Pesco officials and technical staff will remain on duty during the holidays to promptly address any electricity-related faults and maintain an uninterrupted supply, the spokesperson added.

The company has also provided additional transformers, electricity wires, meters and other essential equipment to field staff to deal with emergencies.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson urged citizens not to tie sacrificial animals to electricity poles to avoid accidents and ensure public safety.
