Hideouts of terrorists destroyed in Karak

LAKKI MARWAT: The police dismantled suspected hideouts of terrorists in the difficult terrains and rural areas of the Karak district here on Sunday.

The police said the law enforcers conducted a search and strike operation in rural areas of the district to maintain the writ of the state.

District police officer Imran Khan said that the operation was launched in the mountainous areas of Bahadarkhel, Panjoo Banda, Ghol Banda, Darga Shaheedan and Gurgari after the police received information about the movement of terrorists.

He said that the police, backed by commandoes of Elite Force and Rapid Response Force armed with advanced weapons and modern gadgets, used drones and other technology for aerial surveillance.

During the operation, the law enforcers razed hideouts of terrorists in the difficult terrain and searched suspected places in the rural localities of the district, the official said.

The DPO said the police would continue conducting operations to eliminate terrorists and establish peace in the district.
