LAKKI MARWAT: Two terrorists were killed, and one was injured in an intelligence-based operation in the Kaichi Kamar area of Lakki Marwat district, a security official said on Saturday.

The official said that the operation was conducted following information about the presence of terrorists in the trans-river belt known as the Kurrum Par area. He said that the bodies of the killed terrorists were taken into custody.

The slain terrorists were directly involved in the recent Serai Naurang blast, wherein 10 people, including two police officials, lost their lives.

The incident created an atmosphere of fear and panic in the area as people called for immediate and strict action against the terrorists. The official said that after the Sarai Naurang attack, the security forces traced the terrorist network with the help of human intelligence and modern technology and dismantled it in a successful operation.

The official described the successful operation as a breakthrough against the terrorists involved in the Serai Naurang blast and other subversive attacks.
