Stranger Things animated series update

Netflix is expanding the Stranger Things universe with an animated series titled Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, set between Seasons 2 and 3 of the original show.

The story follows the Hawkins kids in 1985 as they deal with new supernatural mysteries after the main gate to the Upside Down has supposedly been closed. The focus is on a simpler time, where the characters are just kids riding bikes, solving mysteries and figuring out strange events in their town without the pressure of saving the world.

Executive produced by Matt and Ross Duffer and Shawn Levy, the series explores new creatures and science-driven threats linked to Hawkins Lab while avoiding interference with later events in the main storyline.

Coyote vs ACME trailer released

Ketchup Entertainment has released a new trailer for Coyote vs ACME, a live-action and animation hybrid based on the Looney Tunes universe.

The film stars Will Forte as Wile E. Coyote’s lawyer, alongside Lana Condor and John Cena. The story follows Wile E. Coyote taking legal action against the ACME Corporation for years of failed inventions and mishaps.

Classic characters like Wile E. Coyote, Road Runner, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck also appear, with veteran voice actor Eric Bauza returning to voice multiple roles.

Disney revives Pirates of the Caribbean

Disney is actively developing Pirates of the Caribbean 6, reviving the long-dormant franchise that last released a film in 2017.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed that the project is still in its early phase, and without a final script, cast or release date.

Multiple screenplay versions are being developed, including one by Jeff Nathanson, with others previously linked to writers like Craig Mazin and Ted Elliott. The studio is treating it as a “horse race” between scripts before deciding the direction of the film.

The return of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow remains uncertain and depends on whether he connects with the final script.
