Landi Kotal hospital gets equipment

KHYBER: Directorate of health services on Thursday provided latest equipment and machines worth millions of rupees to the District Headquarters Hospital Landi Kotal.

The new facilities included a separate female section for hepatitis B and C tests in the existing laboratory at the hospital premises, health officials said.

They said that the new equipment included new blood bank, ultrasound machine, latest X-ray machine, 16 stretcher trolleys, 21 manual beds, 20 oxygen cylinders, refrigerator, 10 dressing sets, 10 instruments trolleys, 10 stethoscopes, 20 benchers, 10 nebulisers, 20 wheel chairs and 10 extra stethoscopes for children.

MNA Iqbal Afridi and MPA Adnan Qadri along with MS Dr. Jamil Ahmad and hospital staff were present during the ceremony in which all the equipments and machineries were handed over to the MS.

Speaking on the occasion MNA Iqbal Afridi said that the hospital was upgraded to category A and the new equipment was provided on the special directives of Chief Minister Muhammad Suhail Afridi.

MPA Adnan Qadri said that every possible effort would be made to provide best possible health facilities to patients at the hospital.
