Three coal miners kidnapped in Harnai

QUETTA: Armed men kidnapped three coal miners from Harnai district of Balochistan on Wednesday, police said.

Officials said the assailants cordoned off a coal mine in the Zahri coalfield area of Harnai and took three miners at gunpoint to an unknown location.

The abducted miners were identified as Abdul Razzaq, Asmatullah and Hameedullah.

Security forces rushed to the site after receiving information about the incident, cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to recover the miners.

However, no trace of the kidnappers has been found so far.

Authorities are investigating the incident. No group has claimed responsibility.
