TOBA TEK SINGH: Mureedwala police at Faisalabad claimed to have arrested two suspects wanted in a robbery and gang rape case reported some six years back.
A police spokesperson told the media on Sunday that the suspects – I and F – on night of December 28, 2020, had forced their entry into the house of Shahid at Chak 192 GB, Islamnagar, and made the family members, including women, hostage. They locked them up in a room after tying their arms and legs with ropes.
They later separated Shahid’s wife from others, gang-raped her at gunpoint and fled away after collecting cash, gold ornaments, six mobile phones and other valuables from the house.
The police claimed that both suspects, who were also declared proclaimed offenders by a court, have been arrested.
