CHINIOT: Four of a family died and a woman related to them was critically injured when roof of their under-construction house collapsed on Wednesday night.

As per Rescue 1122 officials, the family of one Tanveer Ahmad was asleep in their under-construction house at Mohallah Bashirabad, Lalian town, when its roof collapsed suddenly.

As a result, Tanveer (50), his wife Razia (50) and two sons, Waqas (22) and Waqar (20), were trapped under the debris and died on the spot.

A woman, identified as Zainab, wife of Waqar, was critically injured in the incident.

On being called, Rescue 1122 teams retrieved the bodies from under the debris and handed these over to the relatives of the deceased persons.

The injured woman was shifted to hospital for treatment.
